Sintra
SINTRA
Describing Sintra is like trying to catch the moon: You can try, but it’s impossible to achieve.
Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage for its cultural landscape, favorite destination of the old Portuguese aristocracy since the 14th century, which had its summer palaces here, looking for a cooler climate and the nature of the surrounding Serra.
The sudden and mysterious fogs, the farms, the palaces and mansions that punctuate the green of the mountains, and the novels, poems and other works of art inspired by its surroundings , helped make this town a unique, magical and absolutely fascinating destination.
