Tomar

The stories and legends of the Templars have inspired generations over the years, through literature, cinema, documentaries or architecture.

Tomar, known as the city of the Templars, keeps some of the greatest secrets of the Knights of this Religious Order that defended the city for more than 100 years.

In addition to the Convento de Cristo - UNESCO World Heritage -, it is worth visiting its churches and the oldest Synagogue in Portugal.

Every 4 years, the traditional and unique Festa dos Tabuleiros is held in Tomar, filling the city with music, dance, color, joy, flowers and processions.
